It is easier to remove the source of negative charge (electrons).

Edema can happrn for several reasons. Negative charge attracts water in a tissue matrix (not in a bucket of water) by electro-osmosis. It can also happen by congestion of the lymphatics or acupuncture meridians. It can also hpoen by high blood pressure. With acupuncture you can definitely influence the circulation of extracellular fluid but you should treat the cause if known.

Depends on what you are trying to do.

I have only been practicing 5 years. And can’t seem to find details on electroacupuncture like this.
When would you run a positive charge into the needle during a treatment? Would you run it in case of microtears or damaged tissue?

You want to remove the negative charge (electrons). That will break down the structured water, turning it into bulk water. And pushing it out of the tissues.
