Migraines and other Headaches

Migraines and other headaches

A true migraine is characterized by a dilation of the blood vessels in the head increasing the pressure in the head. Other headaches are usually caused by stress. For true migraines, you want a treatment that will constrict the blood vessels. So you want stroong needling sensation at points that affect the head. You want to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system to cause the blood vessels to constrict.

With other types of headaches you need first to distinguish what pattern it is. Is it sinus pressure causing the headache? Is it an excess liver pattern or a deficient pattern? Is it something else like neck pain? Then develop a treatment that will treat that pattern.
